Merged Filters allow users to combine multiple existing quick filters into a single, unified filter. This can save time and increase consistency, especially when reviewing complex cases.

With Merged Filters, users can streamline their workflow and improve the efficiency and accuracy of genetic test interpretation.

This feature is especially useful for complex cases where multiple variants are involved, and it allows users to view all relevant variants in one place.

How to Create a Merged Filter

  1. Open a Case and navigate to the Variants tab.

  2. Click Manage Filters in the Quick Filters panel.

  3. Select Merge Filters.

  4. Check the boxes next to the filters you'd like to merge and click Create.

  5. Provide a name and a description (optionally).

  6. Choose whether to display the filter in your quick filter panel.

  7. Click Save, and youโ€™re done! ๐ŸŽ‰

How to use merged filters?

When you want to filter the variants list with your merged filter, all you need to do is select it from the quick filter list. The variants will update to show only variants that meet the filter criteria of one of the sub-filters that were merged.
If you want to see what the sub-filters are that form the merged filter, press on the arrow in the filters menu, and it will expand and present to you the sub-filters.

Using Merged Filters

Once created, your merged filter will appear in the Quick Filters list - with the merge icon indication. Simply select it to apply all of the underlying filters together. The variants list will show all variants that match any of the merged filters' criteria.
