Key New features:

  • Case History

The Case History feature is introduced in Franklin to enable users to track activity and changes within cases, facilitating a thorough investigation of case history.

It is accessible within each case through the “Case History” tab in the main navigation bar. The tab displays a comprehensive “table” format with all case activities chronologically, including timestamps, user details, action names, and action details.

The Case History provides insight into the progression of a case, including all relevant actions performed.

Users can now easily trace specific actions, understand the sequence of activities within a case, and identify the individuals responsible for each action.

  • Customize your own variants' table

We've introduced a new feature that allows you to customize the variants' table columns according to your preferences. Simply click on the column icon located in the top right corner of the table to access all available column options. From there, you can select the columns you wish to display on the table.

Any newly added columns will appear on the far right, and you can easily reorder them by dragging the column headline to your desired position within the table.

  • Variant Phasing annotation.

We're thrilled to announce a significant enhancement in how phasing information is visualized within Franklin. The phase set is a unique identifier for a phasing region.

When variants are phased, Franklin now elegantly presents the alleles by displaying a pair of squares. If two variants belong to the same allele (in cis) and have the same phase set number, you'll see these colored squares aligned on the same side, making it intuitively clear how variants are related. The phase set number is shown alongside the allele. Phasing annotation should only be considered between 2 variants in the same phase set. The display is available for both ‘tiles view’ and ‘table view’.
